Narendra Modi tattoo is the fashion fad this garba season

After the Modi kurtas and kites, Modi tattoos are fast becoming a fashion fad. With the Navratri festival in Gujarat underway, it seems brand Narendra Modi has dominated the festivities with revellers sporting Modi tattoos to make a political statement.

The tattoo is a huge craze amongst the youth and tattoo artists in the cities are cashing in on the new trend. "This year we have tried to make certain changes in the trend. What best way than having Narendra Modi's tattoos on the garba revellers. There is craze amongst the youth for making temporary tattoos, and we, in our own way, are contributing to his popularity,'' said Jagruti Parmar, a tattoo artist.

Last time around, there was a huge demand for tattoos of Bollywood stars, but this time, with Narendra Modi being appointed as the BJP's prime ministerial candidate, the garba enthusiasts are opting for the Gujarat Chie Minister's tattoo.

"We wanted to look different in the group and since Narendra Modi is a craze amongst the youth this was the best way to be noticed amongst the maze of garba revellers,'' said Dharshita Thakkar.

This year, intermittent rains have played a spoilsport, however, the garba enthusiasts are undeterred. The youth in Gujarat are perhaps trying to showcase their loyalties by getting a Narendra Modi tattoo.
